Yeah the L98 was 86 as an 87 MY, TPI engines in general were already around


The TPI engines with that real recognizable intake runner and throttle body design started in 85 on 305s, then got adapted to a 350 in the F-bodies for 87. LT1 was I believe 91 as a 92 MY in the Corvette and 93 for the F-bodies, although kind of an "LT1*" designation since GM did not add mass airflow sensors until 94, which was the design they went with for the remainder of production until the gen 4 "LS" engines came out in 97
